Airport to the Hotel by Taxi, Metro, or Car

Taxi (20 minutes, $25-$30)

From the Main Terminal, where almost all airlines arrive, go to the baggage claim on the lower level and then use exit M10 into the garage. You will see the taxi stand.

From the East Terminal, where Southwest Airlines arrives, proceed to the baggage claim on the lower level and use the exit to the sidewalk. Turn right and look for the taxi stand.

Metrolink to Hotel (30 minutes, $4)

Passes may be purchased in advance through the website. Metro offers a one-day pass for $7.50 that allows a user unlimited rides on the system during a given day, and a 2-hour pass ($2.75) or books of 10 2-hour passes that allow unlimited rides for a 2-hour period.

If you arrive between 7 am and 8 pm Monday to Friday or between 12m and 8pm Saturday and Sunday you can take the Metrolink & shuttle to get downtown. Follow signs at the airport to Metrolink Station (there is one station at each terminal of the airport). Purchase a ticket and validate ticket at a validation machine (see middle picture below) before getting on the Metrolink.  Take the Metrolink (there is only one line at the airport) to the 8th and Pine Station (see below).

NOTE:  If your flight arrives before 7 AM or after 7 PM, it is highly advised that you take a taxi to the hotel from the airport.

After about 30 minutes you will arrive at the 8th and Pine Station.  Exit the Metrolink station, and walk south along N. 8th St. until it meets Chestnut St. (1 block).  From this intersection, proceed east for ~4-5 blocks to the Hyatt Regency –St. Louis Riverfront Hotel.  You should walk past Kiener Plaze and the St. Louis Arch should be in full view when walking down Chestnut St.

Returning to the airport via the Metrolink

To return to the airport from the hotel, walk or take a cab to the 8th and Pine Street station as shown on the above map. Purchase a ticket at the station and take the Lambert Airport Train to the airport (NOT the I-44 Shrewsbury line). If you are traveling on Southwest Airlines only, then get off at the East Terminal. For all other flights, stay on the Metro and get off at the next stop which is the Main Terminal.

 


Driving from the Airport

If you rent a car at the airport, take I-70 east to exit 250B.  Merge onto N. Memorial Dr., and turn right onto Market Street.  Drive one block, and turn right onto N. 4th St.  Drive one block and turn right onto Chestnut St.  The Hyatt Regency –St. Louis Riverfront Hotel should be on your right.
