Sponsored by the IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS), the American Automatic Control Council (AACC), and the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC), a group of over 150 gathered in Toulouse, France on July 14, 2017 at the IFAC World Congress to celebrate “Women in IFAC.”
Networking makes a great impact in women's lives. IFAC, AACC, and IEEE CSS bring important visibility to women in various ways. The luncheon event held in Toulouse, France succeeded in this purpose. Introductions were given by the organizer of the event, Bozenna Pasik-Duncan. There were two keynote speakers, Dawn Tilbury and Kristin Ytterstad Pettersen, who then spoke to the group. Both Dawn and Kristin were also Plenary Speakers at the IFAC WC. This was followed by a nice lunch with wonderful local Toulouse tapas food.
