Keeping up with its tradition, the IEEE Women in Control Standing Committee (WIC) held its bi-annual luncheon on the first day of the ACC 2017 in Seattle, WA. The luncheon was attended by 73 participants, who had the chance to network with fellow colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere. Inspiring speeches were given by WIC Chair Prof. Linda Bushnell, founding members Prof. Bozenna Pasik-Duncan and Prof. Molly Shor , CSS President Edwin Chong and AACC Vice President Prof. Richard Braatz.
The luncheon was co-sponsored by the AACC and the IEEE Control Systems Society. This event is among several initiatives undertaken by the WIC standing and aiming at empowering women professionals in the field of control systems.
The next WIC Luncheon will be held at the CDC in Melbourne, Australia. We hope to see you there. Until then, will keep sharing pertinent information via our Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
