Richard P. Mason received the D.Phil. degree in engineering science under the supervision of Prof. Papachristodoulou at the University of Oxford, Oxford, U.K. His Ph.D. research focused on exploiting sparsity within optimization problems in control theory.
After his Ph.D. degree, he took part in Entrepreneur First and Y-Combinator Fellowship programs, before joining Alpha-I as a Researcher.
Dr. Mason received the Student Best Paper Award at the 2014 American Control Conference, and the 2015 O. Hugo Schuck Best Paper Award.
