The John R. Ragazzini Education Award is given to recognize outstanding contributions to automatic control education in any form.

For innovative contributions to control education through web tutorials, videos, in-class labs, and a seminal textbook for computing systems, and for dedicated mentoring of MS and PhD students.

For contributions to control education with the Arduino-based Temperature Control Lab, Gekko Optimization Suite software, interactive online resources, videos, and open-access APMonitor online courses for programming, control, and optimization.

For outstanding contributions to control education through innovative laboratory experiments, a widely used textbook on fault detection and diagnosis, tutorial/review papers and essays, and mentoring of graduate students and postdocs.

For contributions through research in engineering education, organization of control education conference sessions and workshops, development of open online courses, textbook and book chapters, and thought leadership in higher education.
